We Need a Revival

Acts 2:17-21

'In the last days,' God says, 'I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants-men and women alike-and they will prophesy. And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below-blood and fire and clouds of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the Lord arrives. But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'

What is Revival?

  • Revival is a divine visitation in which God is saying to us: See what I can do without the things you are depending upon, see what I can do in answer to a praying people, see what I can do through people who are ready to fall in line and depend wholly and absolutely upon me.
  • Revival is purely about salvation and holiness, the setting of our lives apart for God. This is the true spirit of revival.

What to Expect in Revival

  • The Hamilton Revival:
      • Prayer, tithing of finances, time, talents and activities
      • People convicted of sin with repentance
    • 2 Chronicles 7:14   Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
    • Malachi 3:10-12   Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my temple. "If you do," says the Lord of Heaven's Armies, "I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! Your crops will be abundant, for I will guard them from insects and disease. Your grapes will not fall from the vine before they are ripe," says the Lord of Heaven's Armies. "Then all nations will call you blessed, for your land will be such a delight," says the Lord of Heaven's Armies.
